Sleep

                                                             Image result wey dey for sleep
It’s 12 AM and Netflix is calling your name. What’s one more hour…right? Turns out, it could mean the difference between a day of eating right or a day of eating—well—anything in sight. Get your pjamas ready.

According to a recent study, 62% of adults who got an extra 96 minutes of sleep each night reported that their daytime junk food cravings decreased by a whopping 50%. Why? As it turns out, sleep deprivation can wreak havoc on the metabolism—because staying awake at night requires more energy than sleeping, your body overcompensates the next day by releasing “hunger” hormones that send your appetite into overdrive. And if you’ve ever been in a meeting stocked with doughnuts after a late night, you’ve probably learned that your body isn’t hungry for fruits and vegetables.

Okay, so get more sleep. Easier said than done, right? It turns out that focusing on sleep has a profound effect on a healthy lifestyle, providing a 32% increase in productivity and focus, and an energy boost for higher fitness performance.

Sometimes the hardest part of getting enough sleep is being able to wind down from a busy day. But when it comes to bedtime, fruits and vegetables are at the rescue! For a quicker, restful night of Z’s, skip counting sheep and start counting on these 5 fruits and vegetables to help you sleep.

1)      Kale: Dairy products are well-known calcium-rich foods. But green leafy vegetables, such as kale and collards, also boast healthy doses of calcium. And research suggests that being calcium deficient may make it difficult to fall asleep. Load up on this trendy veggie before bed and your body will be thanking you in the morning.

2)      Cherries: Cherries are one of the only natural sources of melatonin, a sleep-promoting hormone. Have a handful an hour before bedtime; if fresh ones aren’t in season, go for cherry juice or the dried variety.

3)      Bananas: Bananas are chockfull of potassium and magnesium, which both help to relax your muscles to give you a peaceful night’s sleep. Plus, they contain the sleep-inducing amino acid tryptophan, which ultimately turns into serotonin and melatonin in the brain. Both promote relaxation and sleepiness.

4)      Tomatoes: Grown on the vine, tomatoes are a natural source of melatonin, a chemical produced by the body during sleep. Although it is recommended to get fresh sources, tomatoes can be found in sauces, paste, and even in ketchup. They are also full of antioxidants!

5)      Passion Fruit: If anxiety’s what’s keeping you up, you’ll be passionate about passion fruit. Passion fruit contains several medicinal alkaloids, including the sedative compound Harman, which has traditionally been used to treat anxiety, insomnia and restlessness.

In the kitchen...

Well I'm not normally one for spending any more time in the kitchen than I have to so today I've done quite well!

To start with I made a watermelon, onion, mint and feta cheese salad. What inspired me for this dish was visiting a wonderful gluten free restaurant called 'Dough' in Manchester during the summer. We tried some lovely dishes and this looked so simple to do. As I'm starting my first nightshift of 4 tonight I've made some extra to take in another day. I'm certainly looking forward to trying it later.

The second dish was just a snack I fancied before turning to something bad. Scrambled egg with mushrooms and advocado. I used half an advocado for this and then put the other half in with some coconut milk, nutmeg and vanilla Complete Shake ready for later before going to work. Just love my advocado shakes at the moment, they are so tasty and filling.

Thanks for visiting, please back come again.

Water...

Drinking water is essential and can benefit you in so many ways. Advantages include:

* It keeps the skin clear by pushing toxins out of the body
* Promotes weight loss by boosting your metabolism
* Boosts energy by restoring vital nutrients within your muscles, hence better productivity
* Relieves constipation by improving digestive health
* Its a natural remedy for headaches
* Better exercise
* Less cramps and sprains
* Less likely to get sick
* Relieves fatigue

I have set myself a 7 day challenge of drinking 3 of these #onesimplechange bottles of water a day. It holds 1.5 pints so 4.5 pints equates to roughly 2.5 litres. I also drink peppermint tea at the beginning of the day and occasionally at the end of the day so altogether I should be taking about 3 litres of water. Will weigh at the end of the week to see what the difference is.

Boosters.....

Welcome to the Juice Plus Boosters..

Our JP Boosters are not only a health supplement, they're also a fantastic weight loss aid.  A completely natural product designed to help you lose weight.

* Glucomannan derived from Korjac plant and is 100% natural * Water soluble fibre * FDA approved as completely safe * Contains ZERO calories * Reduces blood sugar levels * Reduces cholesterol * Acts as a weight loss aid * Decreases calorie intake by 25%

The Boosters are designed to reduce your weight by what they do with your food, its not a case of you taking them and then start losing weight. Really it works within your diet itself, so it actually reduces your chloric intake by around 25% as well as all the benefits listed above.

* Eat clean and often alongside our incredible boosters and you will have a body to die for in no time. You can even try them alongside our shakes and capsules or use them as a stand alone product.

All you need to do is add water and drink. You can take a maximum of 3 a day, most people only have one a day because they're so filling. You will receive 90 sachets in your order.

If using 3 a day you can have these before your 3 meals. It is recommended to take them 30-60 minutes before your meal. If using 1 a day its up to you when you take it, but if there is a time you are more susceptible to snacking then I would recommend taking the booster 20-30 minutes before that time.

Take some before and after pictures and your measurements to monitor your progress.

If you have any questions then please message me. As mentioned in the video, there is no obligation to follow the food plan but your results will be heightened if you do.

Bye for now

Angela :)
